Ncaps can be found in various types of equipment in these markets and the following examples describe the reasons why Ncaps may have been selected.

Example	Application
	Filter Elements Filtration is the largest market for Ncap’s and large volumes are sold for filter cartridge element neck seals. Where once the filter manufacturer needed to determine the end use before selecting a suitable O Ring material, he can now fit Ncap’s as standard due to their versatile ability.
	Pumps In the chemical process industry, pumping corrosive media is very problematic from a sealing point of view. PTFE made pumps have, like the one shown here, utilised many Ncap’s at various critical points of its construction. Plastic pumps often require low load seals so hollow core Ncap’s are very suitable.
	Mechanical Seals Whilst mechanical seal producers do seem to favour the use of Perfluoroelastomer as a seal material, there are still many applications within this market where Ncap’s are widely used. The obvious advantage against Perfluoro is the lower cost.
